The nave of the present church occupies the site of the original Gurney-Murray house. The red brick section on the higher ground, which is now called "Memory Hall" is part of the 1883 construction retained for sentimental reasons. This small section of the church was part of the building that replaced the 1832 "Brick Church."

The Grimsby Historical Society, archives and brochures (call for availability), are located at the Carnegie Commons Building.
