Sir Adam Beck Generating Station 1 |
Sir Adam Beck 1 was the largest hydraulic generating station in the world when completed by Ontario Hydro in 1930. The plant continues to operate today and can generate enough power to supply a small,modern city.
Sir Adam Beck No.1 is located along the Niagara Parkway near the Queenston-Lewiston bridge. It can be found North of Sir Adam Beck No.2
Operational in 1921; first major hydroelectric project in Niagara Falls; still an operational facility.
