Henley Island is located on Martindale Pond, tucked into the historic town of Port Dalhousie. Here, you can relax on the side of the pond or bring your own canoe and enjoy the peaceful surroundings as you paddle around the lake. The island is located on Martindale Pond, an expansion of the Twelve Mile Creek, and is recognized for hosting the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta, a large rowing event.
Henley Island is located just on the outskirts of Port Dalhousie, right behind and within a well-developed subdivision. Henley Island is a good location to have a picnic, walk the dog, canoe, kayak, and watch rowing events.
Just a short drive or a nice stroll down Main Street, lies the heart of old Port Dalhousie, which encompasses many historic buildings, scenic views of Lake Ontario, and enjoyable restaurants and quaint accommodations. However, many of these attractions are slowly becoming condominiums and chain shops.

Each year the island welcomes competitors and visitors from across Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia and Latin America. Throughout the year, Henley Island is where the main rowing events take place. It’s a location that many locals visit for entertainment and to support their athletes.
