Cherie Road Park |
Cherie Road park is located off the waterfront trail, in close proximity to a few other parks. It consists of beautiful pathways, where visitors can enjoy long and peaceful walks, while being surrounded by natural landscapes. The park consists of a butterfly garden, which is located in an environment that attracts butterflies and other types of moths. Visitors can sit on the benches nearby and witness exotic species of butterflies. The footpath from the garden leads to a small hill, which provides ample space of green grass to hold picnics and partake in any outdoor games that visitors enjoy. On the side of the park is a staircase that leads to a small beach below. The beach provides visitors with the option of going swimming, playing sports and sun tanning. This location provides visitors with a unique opportunity to incorporate quite a few nature inspired activities into their picnic plans.

The park consists of a butterfly garden, which consists of many different native plants in order for butterflies to have a safe home to lay eggs and develop. Many of the flowers are fragrant and bright colored flowers, which add to the natural beauty of the park. The butterfly gardens and its surrounding areas do not possess any chemical pesticides and fertilizers because even the smallest amount can be deadly to the butterflies and moths. Only environmentally friendly and natural fertilizers are used in this area of the park.
