Bike Train

The Toronto-Niagara Bike Train is The Greenbelt Express!

The Bike Train is a new sustainable transportation and tourism initiative introducing bike racks onboard select passenger rail trains to destinations across Ontario.

The Greenbelt Express operates between Toronto Union Station, St Catharines and Niagara Falls Stations.  A specially equipped VIA Rail baggage car has been added to this route to enable cyclists to roll their bikes on and roll them off at your station of choice.

This is a great way to really explore Niagaras Greenbelt and access the many trails and bike routes in the area.

The Bike Train also operates with various stops in Eastern Ontario and pilot weekends to North Bay and Windsor.

Hours of Operation

The Greenbelt Express will be operating for 8 weekends in 2009, starting June 26. Bike transportation to Niagaras Greenbelt by rail is only possible when using the Bike Train. Take advantage of the Bike Train service by visiting our website www.biketrain.ca for ticket reservations, full schedule and more information.
