GENERAL INFORMATION

Stoney Ridge is Niagara's garden winery, a true hidden gem that you will not regret visiting! Tucked away on a beautiful 11 acre estate in Vineland, Stoney Ridge has more than just historically renowned VQA certified wines to offer. The staff at Stoney Ridge welcomes you to spend an afternoon enjoying wine by the glass and cheese platters in their rose arbour and gardens. You are encouraged to wander throughout the estates gardens during your visit. Upon entering the retail store you're given the oppurtunity to taste their wines and check out the gourmet cheese shop, offering a unique and delicious variety of cheeses from around the world. Tours provide guests with the oppurtunity to learn about wine making and explore the estate with a knowledgable guide. Guests should call ahead to book a tour.

Stoney Ridge offers a wide range of red and white table wine varietals, they are also well known for their unique cranberry wine and cranberry ice, an Icewine blend- both a must try. Stoney Ridge offers a variety of Icewine's for purchase, including their excellence, barrel fermented and barrel aged Gewurtraminer Icewine.

Back in 1985 Stoney Ridge Estate Winery was the 18th business in the region to receive their license in the Niagara Region, established by wine maker Jim Warren, who has since stepped down. The year 2013 has proved to be an exicting year for the winery, with the introduction of new owner Bob McCowan and president Barry Katzman, whom have big plans for Stoney Ridge's future. Winemaker Jeff Hundermark joined the team at Stoney Ridge, who is renound for his production of big, bold red varietals. Hundermark is also the winemaker at Stoney Ridge's new sister winery, Mike Weir Wines.
