From farm to table, that is the mindset at Syndicate Restaurant and Brewery. Located on Niagara Falls Lundy’s Lane, Syndicate Brewery offers an array of tasty beer styles, from clean and gentle pale ales, silky caramel cream ales, and smoky black wheat porters. In their onsite restaurant, a full lunch, dinner and evening menu is offered presenting pub food favourites with a twist of sophistication. Here, there is a clear link between Syndicate’s food and beer, as the menu is uniquely made to pair with the tastes from their brewery. In the kitchen, many of the menu items utilise the beer brewed on premises, creating one of a kind flavourful dishes that appeal to an epicurean sense of casual elegance.

After purchasing the Niagara’s Best Beer Inc, some organizational changes have led to materialization in 2010 to what is now Syndicate Restaurant and Brewery. As well Syndicate also holds ties under the same family ownership of the successful and previously established Taps Brewhouse and Grill on Queen Street, Niagara Falls. From their success, the Syndicate Restaurant is opening up locations elsewhere, including St Catharines on Ontario Street.
The beer list straight from Syndicate’s Brewery displays some of their very own brews, as well still offers some brews that reflect the previous Niagara’s Best Beer brand, and also a few beers from their sister brewery Taps Brewing Company. At Syndicate you can purchase a half pint, pint, tasting flight or the “growler” jug size of different style lagers, ales, wheat beer, Indian pale ales, cream ale, light and mild styles and dark porters. For example; Niagara’s best light lager is a quality brew based on a light lager brewed with German pilsner malt and Czech hops. Niagara’s Best Blonde Ale is a traditional lager, appealing almost everyone. Taps Vanilla Wheat has fruity and spicy aromatics, made unfiltered and showing golden colour. Sinister Sams Indian Pale Ale is a north American Indian Pale Ale that is well rounded and balanced with a variety of tastes ranging from fruity at first, then leading into a mouth full of caramel malt.

At Syndicate, you can feel good about what you are eating, as the restaurant makes a conscious effort to use local ingredients in their menu items. Beef is one of the feature dishes that can allow their menu to stand out from the rest. This is reflected in the time and quality that Syndicate devotes to preparation before the meal makes it to a customer’s plate. Their beef items are hormone free and grass and grain fed, as well as dry aged for at least 14 days. Each day, they showcase different cuts and styles of beef along with sides that compliment well with their feature meal.

Syndicate’s unique menu offerings together help craft an affordable meal with a touch of elegance. During the afternoons, an express menu with choices between classic appetizers can be paired with select gourmet sandwiches, all served quick from the kitchen. Also, an all day menu is available throughout lunch, dinner and into the evening that takes a new spin of traditional pub grub, including dark ale barbeque wings, duck poutine and mussels covered in coconut curry and their own red cream ale beer sauce. However, it is important to note that like many restaurant menus, these items may be subject to change. While out for dinner at Syndicate, it is possible to experience the finer end of dining while on a budget. Daily they offer a pre price fixed dinner menu of three courses starting with a soup or salad appetizer; a second course that includes choices between pastas, fish, lamb, beef and chicken, all paired with fine sides and sauces; and a third course desserts or cheeses. They also offer a children’s menu with pasta, fries, and finger food kids are sure to enjoy.

Syndicate restaurant and Brewery are open daily for dining, brewery tour and retail hours. Reservations are recommended, as a large dinner crowds are often common.
