Ecological context

Thousands of migrating hawks, vultures and eagles are counted by the Niagara Peninsula Hawkwatch as they fly over Beamer Memorial Conservation Area in Grimsby.  RaptorFest has been held in different locations in Niagara West since being founded in 1996, and is celebrating the raptor migration that occurs every spring along the Niagara Escarpment.
