Niagara Greenbelt Waterfall Tour |
This tour takes you through the Niagara Greenbelt to see some of the Niagara Escarpment's greatest formations - the waterfalls.
Throughout the tour you will visit many popular areas within the greenbelt such as conservation areas, heritage sites, parks and the famous Bruce Trail. You will get to see and learn about the Niagara Escarpment as well as wildlife indigenous to the area and of course explore the many waterfalls within it.
Waterfalls in this tour include DeCew Falls and Faucet Falls located in west St. Catharines near the Thorold boudary, Swayze Falls in Short Hills Provincial Park, Martins Fall and Rockway Falls located in Rockway, Upper and Lower Balls Falls and the conservation area, Louth Falls in Louth Conservation Area and lastly Upper and Lower Beamer Falls in Beamer Memorial Conservation Area.
This tour will begin at DeCew Falls.
From Toronto:
QEW exit 49 to Hwy 406 and drive approximately 11 km
Right (west) on St. David's Road West
Left (south) on Merrittville Hwy at the second stop light and drive approximately 1km
Right (west) on DeCew Road at lights, just before Lake Gibson and drive about 2 km
Right (north) into the Mill's little parking lot beside the Beaverdams Creek mill pond
If you come to the three way stop at Cataract Road you have gone too far
