General Information

This multi media self guided tour will take you to six different craft breweries within the Niagara region that each specialize in making their own unique beer. Beginning in downtown St Catharines at the Merchant Ale House Restaurant and Brewpub and ending at Syndicate Restaurant Brewery in Niagara Falls, you will be able to get a taste of what’s brewing here in Niagara.

During this tour, you will encounter establishments that house onsite breweries that offer tours and tastings of whatever special brews are on tap during your visit. In addition if you get hungry and would like to have a meal or snack with your pint, several of the breweries also have a restaurant on location. These restaurants each offer a full menu that ranges from classic pub grub to sophisticated dining that is sure to suit anybody’s tastes.

On the Niagara Beer Trail you will be introduced to a wide variety of beer styles that take a new spin on traditional tastes and brewing methods. At all of the breweries each batch of beer is brewed fresh, with minimal and natural ingredients, many of which are produced locally. On tap you will find a wide range of lagers, ales, English bitters, stouts, special seasonal brews, and fruit infused drafts that are one of a kind.

It is important to note when embarking on this tour that the legal drinking age in Ontario is 19 years old, but many of the establishments offer family dining during the day. So go ahead and see for yourself the new diversified taste of Niagara, but please remember do not drink and drive.
